  2. There are three airports near Milan: Malpensa, Linate and Orio al Serio (Bergamo). Find out how to get from Milan airports to the city centre.

Malpensa International Airport (Airport Code – IATA: MXP, ICAO: LIMC) is located in the province of Varese, near Milan. It is one of two main international airports in Milan.

Malpensa is one of the two hubs of Alitalia, the Italian national flag carrier, with over 19,6 million passengers in the year 2005. Malpensa is the most important international airports in Italy, along with Leonardo da Vinci International Airport (Rome) and serves a population of over 15 million people.

Major renovations took place in 1998 and after that many flights were transferred from Linate to Malpensa.

Malpensa International Airport has two terminals, Terminal 1 for commercial traffic and Terminal 2 for charter and low-fares traffic. Terminal 1 at Malpensa is used by most of the major airlines. Only a few flights leave from terminal 2.

  6. These are the X80 bus and the 040 bus. The X80 bus is probably the most convenient with people looking for easy connections between Piraeus and Athens centre. Leaving the Piraeus cruise terminal, it has stops at Akropolis and Syntagma Square, although the service only runs between 07.00 and 21.30

  7. The other popular food in Italy is pasta. Today there are more than 500 different types of it being eaten in Italy. Initially brought by Arabs in the 13th century they eat it with honey and sugar. Tomato sauce was added only in the 18th century. Traditionally, pasta was made by the mother of households and the recipes were passed on to their daughters. The old-fashioned way of eating pasta was with fingers, arm held high and head tilted back.

  10. At Tirana International Airport, taxi transportation into the city utilizes a taximeter system to precisely determine fares. Taxi fare calculations consider journey duration and mileage traveled from the airport terminal to a traveler's destination address. A typical 20-minute taxi ride from the airport to the city center of Tirana can be expected to cost approximately 20 Euro, though traffic conditions may impact the final price. All licensed taxis operating to and from the airport utilize taximeters integrated into the vehicle to provide riders transparent pricing based on the date, time, and specifics of each individual trip. The taximeter automatically begins recording when a passenger enters the taxi, showing continuously updating totals as the trip progresses. Upon arriving at the given destination, the taximeter displays the full amount due to be paid in local currency. This taximeter technology allows travelers smooth and worry-free travel from Tirana Airport into the city while ensuring affordable and honest pricing for every ride.
